How do I use Essential Oils?

Perhaps you may have asked yourself- how do I use essential oils?

Great news, I am here to share that you don't need to be a rocket scientist or need extensive training to use essential oils. You can become a "pro" in no time. All you need is some basic understanding of safety precautions and application methods.

A few things to keep in mind before getting started:

  • Determine the uses and benefits of the oil you intend to use

  • Follow label and packaging instructions

  • If you have specific concerns, always consult your healthcare provider

How to apply essential oils:

Through smell aka "aromatic" use. This includes:

  • Diffusing in an essential oil diffuser

  • Applying a drop to your hands and inhaling

  • Wearing it as a personal fragrance

Essential oils can also be applied on the skin:

  • Massage

  • Apply to targeted area and rub it in

  • Add to lotions or moisturizers

Ingesting. Yes, "internal" use of doTERRA essential oils. First, check the label to make sure the specific essential oil is safe for internal use.

  • Add to glass of water (my favorites lemon, & Slim & Sassy)

  • Take in a veggie capsule

  • A drop under the tongue

What are the best essential oils?

I recommend doTERRA Essential Oils for several reasons:

1: DoTERRA Essentials Oils are pure and unadulterated. Purity of an essential oil is its most important characteristic. In fact, doTERRA set the standard for purity in the essential oil industry.

2: DoTERRA Essential Oils enforce high testing standards. Every batch undergos a rigorous examination and objective third-party testing to guarantee transparency. Unfortunately, not all essential oil companies choose to enforce high testing standards for their oils. Some choose to skip important steps in the testing process to save time and money.
